Honda Challenges Ninja 250SL?

Looks like Kawasaki and Yamaha will have company in the super sporty lightweight segment.

Earlier this week Honda captivated the motoverse when they showed one of their concepts for the Tokyo Motor Show, the "Light Weight Super Sports" concept. It looks production ready and many are already calling it Hondas next CBR250RR.

This is what Big Red had to say:

Designed with the key phrase “strong presence”, this next-generation super sport concept model features a look possessing a sense of speed derived from its long nose and low crouching position. The combination of surfaces – creating a sense of hardness and solidity – and sharp edges, emphasize the aggressive look. Moreover, the exterior featuring matte-black-based low-contrast graphics underlines its beauty and eye-catching form.
The concept sports a trellis frame and what looks like a parallel twin, distinct from the current light weight CBR's.

We'll see what Honda's really up to come Tokyo at the end of the month.
